VENE-K® Disposable Tourniquets

What is a Single-use Tourniquet?

A tourniquet is a simple, but vital, tool that your care provider will use many times every day. It is used to restrict the flow of blood through a vein or artery during a procedure. Traditionally your care provider would use the same reusable tourniquet for all their patients. However, they have been shown to harbour contamination, including MRSA, which could put you at unnecessary risk of infection*.

VENE-K is a disposable tourniquet designed for single-use. It is made from a soft silicone material, so it does not pinch your skin as some other tourniquets may do.

With your own supply of VENE-K you can benefit from the advantages of Vygon’s disposable tourniquet whenever you need it.

Why Choose VENE-K?

Single-use

VENE-K is disposable so it harbours no bacteria from cross-contamination, helping to minimise the risk of infection.

Quick-Release

The unique quick-release button means that VENE-K can be removed with one hand, making it easy to use for your care provider.

Comfortable

The high quality soft latex-free material ensures that VENE-K provides maximum comfort. The forgiving design and material of the tourniquet minimises the risk of pinching or over-tightening. VENE-K can also be joined together to make a longer tourniquet for larger patients whilst still retaining the quick-release feature.

Visible

The bright and vibrant colour means that VENE-K is easily identifiable against a patient’s skin, so it minimises the risk of the tourniquet being accidentally left in place.

“VENE-K delivers ‘best in class’ compliance in infection control.”

Paediatric VENE-K®

The only quick-release button, disposable tourniquet specifically designed for children.

Safe and Secure

Paediatric VENE-K is designed with smaller patients in mind whilst offering the same benefits as standard VENE-K. The soft latex-free material and quick-release button minimise the risk of the tourniquet being over-tightened and cutting off blood flow.

Why Choose VENE-K® Tourniquets?

When sampling blood or administering IV medication a tourniquet is used by your care provider to constrict blood flow in the arm or leg. This helps locate the vein so that it is easier to access.
Traditionally your care provider would use the same reusable tourniquet for all their patients. However they have been shown to harbour contamination, including MRSA, which could put you at unnecessary risk of infection.

VENE-K is a disposable tourniquet designed for single-use. It is made from a soft silicone material, so it does not pinch your skin as some other tourniquets may do.
